Cedar Key Welcomes You!

Allow yourself to slip back in time--before the hustle of traffic, deadlines and demands occupied your life and swallowed your lifestyle. Welcome to a community where the leisurely pace is called island time, and sooner or later, everyone slips comfortably into its casual step.

Take a peaceful walk around this "Island City." Allow yourself to be captivated by the sparkle of sunlight on the Gulf of Mexico, to be overwhelmed by the sweet scent of salt air, and to be immersed in the rich history of this once-bustling seaport of long ago. Stroll through the downtown Historic District. Enjoy our many art galleries, shoppes and museums. Ride in a horse-drawn carriage, kayak to an uninhabited island, devour a succulent seafood dinner, embark on a chartered sunset boat ride, or bag your limit on a boast-worthy fishing trip. Don't forget to take home a bag of fresh farm-raised clams from the USA's top clam producing community...if you can make yourself go home!
